Half-way down the Trent Severn

Al had his best day yet, covering 36.5 miles across a series of lakes; he's not getting the help he hoped for from the current while he's on the lakes, but at least he's no longer fighting a current. If you're following on a map, he crossed Lakes Cameron, Sturgeon, Pigeon, and Buckhorn, collectively known as the Kawartha Lakes.

Breakfast at Lock 35

Al's spending the night at lock 31, which by his calculation is the mid-point of the Trent-Severn Waterway. There's quite a crowd there that will be jockeying for entry to the lock in the morning:

It was a beautiful day in Ontario, and much warmer than it has been, so Al enjoyed a couple of swims along the way.  He also reported seeing a lot of birds, including eagles.
